How to wash your hands

Wet your hands with running water (warm or cold), turn off the tap, and apply soap. Lather your hands by rubbing them together with the soap. Lather the backs of your hands, between your fingers and thumbs. Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds (the amount of time it takes to sing Happy Birthday twice), rinse thoroughly, dry.

Wash Your Hands
  • when you arrive at your destination
  • after you blow your nose, sneeze or cough
  • after going to the toilet
  • before eating or preparing food

If handwashing facilities are not available use hand sanitiser
